less is less ...

Last week, I did some minor, a one major, revision to my blog ... well, blogs.

So far, a whole three people noticed the major revision.

Well, deletion.

Singular.

I used to have three blogs.

I now have two blogs: this one, and DZER's Guam Pics.

What's gone: DZEROTICA.

Deleted.

Zapped.

Erased.

Eradicated.

Purged.

Voided.

Expunged.

"But why?" you may ask. Well, three of you did, at least. The rest of you just may not give a rat's ass. LOL

• Reason 1: Nobody's really been reading it. An unread blog is a pointless blog, no?

• Reason 2: I really haven't been much in the mood to keep it regularly updated with new material. Which probably was a big contribution to why no one was reading it, as the talented Tess pointed out. And I'm sure that's true; who goes to a blog to read the same old stuff over and over again? Exactly — no one.

And no, the infamous "DZER funk" can't be blamed; I haven't really had any inspiration to write new stuff lately; my last post there had been sometime last month. I tried to update it daily, but just didn't have it in me to keep it up. Wait; bad phrase. I don't have any problem keeping IT up ... heh ... not that I've had any reason to of late ... hell, "of late" is more than a euphemism, it's an outright outrageous overstatement!

It's difficult enough to be creative with any kind of writing, but for erotica you need an active and detailed imagination and, at least for me, a regular dose of inspiration to fire that imagination. Without that spark, there is no flame. With no flame, there's no heat. And what's the point of erotica sans heat? There's been nothing and no one to fuel that part of my brain for a while, and with my near hermetic, boring, static, purposeless, phlegmatic and ennui-filled joke of a life, there haven't been any recent experiences to serve that particular demon either.

This doesn't mean that I've given up writing erotica completely. I'm sure at some point down the road I'll be inspired by something or someone and will be able to channel that into prose erotica. If and when that does happen, I'm sure some of my blogger friends whose blogs are primarily erotic/sexual will happily host a post from me, now and then. If not, I might just put them up here. Or I might just write them and not post them.

So if you have a link to DZEROTICA, you're probably going to want to delete it from your sidebar.

Because it's not coming back.
