feeling a tad bit nosy ...

what am I doing up?

It's 6:45 a.m. or so and I've been awake for a good half hour.

On a Monday morning, no less.

What the hell?

I'm not even really all that tired or sleepy headed or anything.

And it's not like I went to sleep particularly early.

Well ... at least football is on ... ooh ... and golf!

ADDENDUM:
• So I ended up going back to sleep for a little bit. LOL

Did you expect anything else?

Well, My Favorite Person did. She suggested a 30-minute morning walk.

As much as it hurt ... I had to let her down. It was way to morning for me. And it was pouring down rain. We're due for a week of heavy rain and thunderstorms; that time of the year.

And now, joy of joys, it's time for work. Fucking Bleah™.

the usual sunday golf post ...

It was really gray, raining and overcast when I woke up, but we decided to go ahead and play golf anyway. It did keep me from bringing my digital camera along, however, and I missed some very cool photos on account of that.

We played the STARTS Guam Golf Resort, which is located up north. First nine was the West Course, second nine was the North Course.

I started the front nine off well, but on the third hole missed a short par putt on a par-3 that led to three consecutive bad holes, but I did manage my second par a little later on to finish the front with a 48. Was off and on the first few holes of the back nine, then shot three consecutive pars to put myself in really good position for the last two holes.

After a perfect drive on the 17th hole, I was right in the middle of the fairway. Unfortunately, it's the only fairway that doesn't drain right on the whole course. It was muddy and wet. My 7-wood caught a shitload of mud and I ended up in the water, eventually taking a triple bogey. *sigh*

I did manage to shoot a 46 even with that triple and two other double bogeys on the back, for a final score of 94. Not bad for a course I haven't played in forever. Also, considering we couldn't drive on the course and had to walk out to all of our shots, I finished not feeling too tired or worn down despite a LOT of walking (thanks, slice!).

S was a little off and in the sand quite frequently. My godson A had some good smacks -- outdriving his dad on one hole! -- and was nearly automatic with all of his 3-foot and 4-foot putts — he made about nine of those, which is more than I made from that length. LOL

And now, it's about 5:30 p.m. I need a shower and then I think I'm going to do a little shopping for some stuff ... then home for a night of DVDs.
