waking up early ... kinda ...

Sometimes, like this morning, I set my alarm clock for about an hour earlier than I absolutely need to get up.

That way, when the alarm rings, I can ignore it. And ignore it. And ignore.

Then, after about an hour of dozing off and waking up and ignoring the alarm multiple times, I can lazily get out of bed and start my morning.

It makes me feel like I've indulged in even more than my usual laziness.

It feels good, in a lackadaisical and shiftless way.

Which means REAL good.

TAGGED
Well, the-wonderfully-lagging-in-reading-my-blog JMai tagged me with the six weird things meme, but since I've done it already, I will respond with the following six non-weird things about me:

1. I'm heterosexual.

2. I like reading books.

3. I have a cell phone.

4. I have a full-time job.

5. My parents never divorced ... hmm, that might be weird, in this day and age.

6. I'm an omnivore.

Heh.

what is up ...

... work is crazy because Christmas means more ads, which means more pages, which means more work.

... work is also crazy because we're transitioning in some new systems, workflows and ideologies, and I'm having to adapt as well as train employees in some new things (for some of them).

... I need to get off my ass and get a bunch of little things done. They don't seem like much, individually, but collectively they pile up like a bitch.

... took some time off from my usual World of Warcraft evening to play poker again ... at one point I was down $130, at another point I was up about $125 ... I finished even for the night. Not bad for 4 hours of poker plus a robust dinner and drinks (non-alcoholic) all night.

... can you believe that Christmas is just like 12 days away (about 11 for me). Yikes!!
