you can always procrastinate tomorrow ...

For those who aren't aware, I have been temporarily spared from having to move from my comfy, big, 2-bedroom, chea-ass rent apartment. I won't have to move until about June or July.

My apartment is the second-floor unit on the left there. The beat-up Nissan Pathfinder there belongs to the only other tenant in this whole 18-apartment unit. He lives on the first floor, on the right. I don't even know what his name is. We've said, "Hey" and "What's up?" a few times, but that's about it.

That balcony is SO under utilized. Maybe I should buy a charcoal grill just so I have an excuse to go out there now and then. I used to go out there a lot when I first moved in ... to smoke, enjoy the evening air, etc.

Anyway, I have started some work to prepare. I've thrown out a ton of stuff — old crap I don't need and won't need. I have boxed up some things that I will be taking with me, whether it's to move to a new apartment or a new continent. I've also taken some stuff and cleaned it up and set it aside for some sort of yard sale in the near future.

But I still have a lot of other stuff to go through, and more things to clean up and sort through for resale. I did get rid of my other digital camera for a decent price. I'm actually surprised by the assortment of knick-knacks and bric-a-brac (and yes, I'm secure enough in my masculinity to use the term "bric-a-brac") that I have saved up. So many candleholders, picture frames, glassware and decorative pieces.

I think I have a chance to make some real money with this yard sale. LOL

I also have so many fucking shelves!! Plastic shelves, metal shelves, wooden shelves, fake-wood shelves. Something like 20 shelving units! What the hell!! How the hell did I amass so many shelves? Big and small, some medium, some wide, some thin and narrow ... it's amazing how many shelves I have.

I need to dedicate a weekend to getting off my lazy ass and getting some of this work done, once and for all. This weekend was impossible — two big poker tournaments. Tomorrow I have golf (YAY!!!) and then probably will have to work part of the evening.

So ... to make sure I'm all rested up ... I'm going to bed "early" .... just past 2 a.m. ... LOL

Random Guam Fact Of The Day:
The forecast for Sunday here on Guam, for my golf game: Very humid with times of clouds and sun. Winds from the ENE at 10 mph. High: 84° F RealFeel: 94° F. Yikes ... I'd better double the amount of water I'd planned to take.

yeah, what IS with all those shelves???

and doesn't it feel good to be rid of a bunch of crap you don't need anymore? i need to do a major purge myself. maybe i'll do that this weekend.

oh look, something shiny...

Just take some duct tape and make ONE big shelf out of 'em, then you can just say "oh, nah, I just have that one shelf to move." :)

And Terry, you made me laugh at that last sentence. :)

Dzer, have you any oak shelves? If so can you reserve it for me.

Don't go and buy a grill, use your George Forman. It would amuse your guests. :)

Now I need to go and get me some nookie.

I've heard of people collecting a lot of things, but you're the first shelf collector I've come across.

Hey, Suze... get some nookie for me while you're at it... please!

madame x: that's me ... just plain shelfish ;)

terry: I really don't know why I've accumulated so many ... and be careful of shiny objects!!

art: LOL ... duct tape is SO useful

suze: no oak ... I'm not a rich man! and fire-grilled is soooo much better ... but messier and more of a hassle ... hope the nookie was good ;)

snow white: I didn't purposefully collect them ... just ... hell, I dunno ... LOL

and get yer own nookie! ;)

Oh, I'm confused.... if you have a shelf collection, what do you display the shelves on? Other shelves? Wouldn't that be redundant? See what happens when the switch to daylight savings time? My brain gets all spongy.

You probably have some pretty coolass shit, Dzer...I wish Guam wasn't so far away...I'd stroll over to your yard sale for sure!

I actually need shelves. I barely have any!!

And I vote yes on the charcoal grill for your balcony. I miss my old balcony and used to grill on it everyday in the summer! Can't do that at the new place. Bummer.

sass: it's OK ... I'm shelf-actualized and have very high shelf esteem ... heh

and one never knows where the DZER will show up

terry: wow, that would be trouble if you had shelves filled with shiny things ... you'd never make it outta the house LOL

sable: it's not a collection, per se, more like ... just way too many shelves. welcome to one hour into the future LOL

strumpet: I have sooooo much cool shit! Maybe I should eBay it? LOL

and c'mon over ... you can have a few shelves ;)
